Silicon Valley Women, Mobilize Your Money
The Silicon Valley Hub brings women together to put their money to work for good — building financial confidence and community in the place where so much of the future is being built.
As part of Invest for Better’s national movement, we learn openly about money, values, and investing, without pressure or jargon. What makes our hub distinct is where we do it: alongside the technology leaders and investors shaping what comes next.
The Silicon Valley Hub gathers women to learn, connect, and grow their confidence as investors — in quarterly gatherings open to all, and smaller monthly sessions for those who want to go deeper.
- Candid panels with technology leaders and active investors
- Fireside chats with venture capitalists, angel investors, and real estate investors putting their capital to work for impact
- Monthly practice sessions to apply what you’re learning, in a small group
- Room to connect with a supportive community of women across Silicon Valley
You’ll hear how the people shaping technology think about money and investing, ask the questions that matter to you, and build community with other women. No investing background required — curiosity and openness are enough.
Some of what women take from this community:
- A clearer understanding of your own money and how it’s invested
- Confidence to invest in a way that reflects your values and goals
- A window into how capital moves in technology, venture and real estate
- Connections to women investors and to the leaders shaping what gets built
- Practical next steps, at whatever pace is right for you
Why Now
As AI reshapes our economy and daily life, an equitable future depends on who builds and funds it. Growing the number of women investors, at every level, from first-time angels to institutional LPs — is one of the most direct ways for women to build capital, voice, and ownership in the technologies defining the next era. That conviction is what this hub is built on. And Silicon Valley is where both the building and the funding happen, which makes it the place where showing up matters most.
With Support From
The Silicon Valley Hub launches with the generous support of Citizens Private Bank and Baker Tilly, whose partnership makes our inaugural event possible. We’re grateful to have champions who believe, as we do, that widening women’s access to capital builds a stronger future for everyone.
At Citizens Private Wealth, we believe financial empowerment enables women to make choices with greater confidence, purpose, and impact. Meet your hub leaders
Subha Rajana
Subha Rajana has spent 25+ years building in technology — and the last decade convinced that the surest way to fund more women founders is to grow the number of women who invest. She founded and led a global cloud security software company as CEO, and today invests as a Venture Partner at impact/deep tech fund 3i Partners, a founding LP at How Women Invest, an LP at a deep tech fund MFV Partners and an angel backing climate, space tech, women’s health, and futuristic energy. She believes that as AI reshapes our economy, an equitable future depends on who helps build and fund it — and she’s spent the last three years living that belief, leading Invest for Better circles while facilitating conversations among women. Subha is passionate about mentoring emerging women leaders across the world in her role as an innovation mentor at TechWomen and How Women Lead. In addition, Subha advises founders and Emerging VC leaders in the Silicon Valley helping them with their investor and GTM strategies.
Shalini Sardana
Shalini Sardana has built her career opening doors to capital for women founders. As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of She Raises Capital, an AI-powered platform, she’s helped connect founders and investors around roughly $80 million in active deal flow. She invests as an angel and Limited Partner with Portfolia, How Women Invest, and Pipeline Angels, and mentors founders through AlchemistX and Techstars Oakland. Named to King Street Ventures’ Top 100 Women in Technology and a Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award winner, she’s spent nearly a decade building the programs, curricula, and communities that help women find their footing as investors.
Testimonials
Invest for Better is a wonderful investment learning community for women. As the recent Past President of the Commission on Status of Women, County of San Mateo, I am proud to have been part of an effort that studied women’s economic health, and came to the conclusion that women gain confidence in investing by learning with others. That is exactly what Invest for Better provides.
I was new to the many investment options when I joined, and meeting a group of women with a common interest opened my mind to opportunities I wasn’t even aware of. It’s been a great resource — a safe place to discuss my portfolio and strategies, learn what others are doing, and get exposure to new investing options. It’s a collaborative environment where women share ideas, opportunities, and both our successes and our not-so-successful investments. Let’s learn together and build confidence in investing.
Invest for Better gave me something I didn’t have before, a community of women learning to invest with real confidence, not just theory. Reading Janine Firpo’s Activate Your Money opened my thinking, and the learning circles turned that into a practical, values-aligned approach I could actually act on. It stopped feeling intimidating and started feeling empowering. It’s not just about growing my money, it’s about putting it behind what I care about: sustainability, women empowerment and social justice. My advice: come for the skills, stay for the community.
What drew me in was Subha herself — and the subject of investing was intriguing. Being part of this community has been both educational and a joy: I’ve loved learning the science of investing and, in the process, overcome my fear of doing anything with my money. My advice to any woman considering it? Join and learn. I’m actually recruiting a few women who are excited to find out how to grow their money — and all it took to get them there was sharing my own experience from the time I’ve spent with this group.
