Lisa Scheible Willems is the Founder and President of AlphaMundi Foundation. She oversees all aspects of the Foundation including gender lens investing and research and technical assistance for social enterprises. Prior to helping establish AlphaMundi Foundation, she joined AlphaMundi Group in 2013, an impact investment advisor managing two funds in emerging markets. Lisa was responsible for all aspects of the investment process and sat on the Investment Committee through 2021. Prior to AlphaMundi, she was Director of Investments at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation where she was a member of a three-person team responsible for overseeing all aspects of management of the USD 550 million endowment and played an integral role in building a new investment process. In the impact investing space Lisa has worked with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, an emerging market fund of funds sponsored by the US Government and Grassroots Business Fund, an impact investment fund in Washington, DC. Beyond her investing experience she spent four years working as a management consultant in New York predominantly at Oliver Wyman. Beyond her work at AlphaMundi, Lisa has traveled extensively and worked with social entrepreneurs in Ghana, Honduras, Tanzania, and the Dominican Republic. She holds BAs in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
