Become a Leader

As an IFB Leader you will lead 8-20 women through a Circle Experience, which gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of values-aligned investing, hone your leadership skills, and strengthen your network of like-minded women. In the process, you will learn alongside your friends, family, and colleagues.

IFB will provide all the materials and tools you need to successfully facilitate a Circle experience. Each Circle will include seven 90-minute bi-weekly meetings. We will be there to support you every step of the way.

We’ll open for applicants for our Spring 2027 Cohort in October

Apply to become a Circle Leader and join a community of over 150 women who have stepped up to lead and empower women on their journey to investing for impact. To demonstrate our appreciation for your leadership, Invest for Better is paying a stipend of $500 for solo leaders and $300 each for co-leaders (up to a maximum of $600).  We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about the experience.

The Leadership Role

As an Invest for Better Leader, you have a set of responsibilities to ensure that you and the members of your group have an outstanding Circle Experience. These responsibilities, which are expected to take about 10 hours per month over a 5-month period, include:

  • Participate in two 90-minute live trainings that prepare you to effectively facilitate your group meetings. These trainings will start 6-8 weeks before the start of your Circle.

  • Recruit at least 8 women to join your Circle. These can be friends, family, folks in your extended network, or even new connections. Your invitees will pay $125 to participate. This cost serves as a donation to Invest for Better and helps us grow the movement of women making a positive difference with their money.

  • Schedule and facilitate seven 90-minute Circle meetings, using the training and comprehensive materials provided by IFB.

  • Prepare in advance for each meeting. This includes conducting the pre-work assigned to your members, previewing Leader materials, and other set-up. You should expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours preparing for each meeting.

  • Communicate with your members prior to launch and between meetings.

  • Join an (optional) 60-minute call once a month to share your experience with other Circle Leaders

  • Participate in a 60-minute feedback session with IFB and other Circle Leaders at the conclusion of your Circle Experience.

Some Circles are launched by a single leader, while others have co-leaders to share networks and logistics – and to make the experience more fun. Co-leaders can work together to recruit toward the 8-person minimum per Circle.

While a leader does not need to be an expert, she should understand financial and investment basics. We can also match less experienced leaders with veteran Circle Leaders.  The most important quality for the Leader is the commitment to launch the Circle, reach out to your networks, and follow through.

To demonstrate our appreciation or your effort, Invest for Better is paying a stipend of $500 for solo leaders and $300 each for co-leaders (up to a maximum of $600)

Benefits of Leadership

  • Opportunity to create a powerful place for you and members of your network to talk about money and learn about values-aligned investing.

  • Participate in leader-only conversations with IFB and Leaders, who launch their Circles at the same time and offer support via informal monthly check-ins.

  • Promotion of your Circle by IFB to their community, allowing you to showcase your leadership.

  • Free access to all of IFB’s $125 expert-led Deep Dive Courses for one year, access to full IFB archives, and a copy of Activate Your Money in a format of your choice.

  • Stipend of $500 for solo leaders and $300 each for co-leaders (up to a max of $600)
