Invest for Better helps women build confidence and knowledge about their money, and put their investments to work for the future they want. The Silicon Valley Hub brings that work to the Peninsula and South Bay — a place to ask real questions about money, hear how other women are making decisions, and find people to think alongside.

At this inaugural gathering, you’ll hear from women who invest actively and lead in technology, and join candid conversations about money, values, and where capital goes. Here in Silicon Valley, where so much of what comes next is being built and funded, growing the number of women investors is one way to expand women’s capital, voice, and ownership in shaping it.

Whether you’re an experienced investor or just beginning to ask questions about your money, you’re welcome. No investing background is required — curiosity and openness are enough.

Meet the Speaker: Heidi Patel

Heidi Patel is a Managing Partner at Rethink Impact, an impact venture capital firm, and an experienced investor dedicated to advancing businesses that create meaningful change. Her career spans venture capital, private equity, and mission-driven investing, including leadership roles at New Island Capital Management and AOL Time Warner Ventures.

Heidi serves on the boards of multiple innovative companies and co-created and teaches an impact investing course at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is also a founding Investment Committee member of the Stanford GSB Student Impact Fund and a frequent speaker on impact investing, gender investing, and venture capital.

With decades of experience directing capital across sectors, Heidi brings a valuable perspective on how investment decisions can support both financial growth and positive social impact.
