Many of our members have been investing through 401(k)s, IRAs, and other retirement accounts. As a result, they are interested knowing more about how this money can be invested in alignment with their values. That is particularly true for individuals who have to choose between employer-mandated options and for those who want more flexibility in the ways they can put these assets to work. In this session, we will be hearing from two experts on these subjects.
Alex Wright-Gladstein is an entrepreneur with a passion for addressing climate change. Prior to founding Sphere, she co-founded Ayar Labs, which makes data centers and supercomputers faster and more energy efficient by using light to move data between chips. Although she remains at Ayar as an advisor, she has now co-founded another company. Sphere has created a climate-friendly investment option that can be easily added to any 401(k) or 403(b) retirement account.
Erin Axelrod is involved in so values-driven businesses and initiatives that it is hard to keep track. She is a co-founder at The Next Economy MBA, Partner at LIFT Economy, and co-founder of Force for Good Fund – as just a few examples. She is also part of the core team at The Next Egg, a community of people that are reimaging retirement savings and investing. They are using a largely unknown vehicle called the Self-Directed IRA (SDIRA) to achieve their goals.
Come hear from these engaging and brilliant women as they talk about how you can re-envision the way your retirement accounts are invested.
